SOLAR RADIO TELESCOPES

DesSolar

Solar Radio Telescopes (SRT)

The Solar Radio Telescopes (SRT), with various antenna sizes, were designed and built by POAM Electronics. According to the application, the size can be chosen from 1.8m (SRT18), 3.7m (SRT37), 4.5m (SRT45), 6m (SRT60), 9m (SRT90) or 13m (SRT130).

The SRT offers very wide continuous travel ranges and high pointing/tracking accuracies and is suited for multi-mission operation in Solar Radio Astronomy applications.

The operational frequency can be chosen for single or multi-band observation from 1 to 30GHz with linear or circular polarization.

For monitoring the wideband application, the special dual-polarized wideband 1 to 18GHz front-end and back-end units will be provided, which are suited to attach to all antenna sizes. Please contact us for more information.

The ultra-wideband antenna that was successfully designed is able to cover all RSTN (Radio Solar Telescope Network) frequency bands from 200MHz to 18GHz with a single antenna. Please contact us for more information.
